I am writing on behalf of our construction company, based in Adana, Türkiye. We are currently preparing a price proposal for one of the OBO projects:
"Utilities Replacement at GSO Annex and Housing, U.S. Embassy Seoul, Korea."
This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the scope and requirements for the design and construction of utilities replacement project for the existing Annex and Staff Housing – single family compounds.
The major rehabilitation project consists of the transfer of utility services from USFK to Seoul municipal providers for the Annex and Housing compounds. The scope of the project includes the following criteria:
Civil and Landscape Works:
• No major grading or earthworks are required.
• Minor clearing and grubbing will be required at utility excavation and installation areas.
• Erosion and sediment controls will be implemented at excavation and installation locations.
• Permanent replacement seeding shall be provided at disturbed landscape areas.
Water:
• The water distribution systems at the Annex and Housing compounds will be disconnected from the USAG-Y system and connected to the municipal supply.
• The final locations of the distribution systems and the water tank/pump house shall be coordinated with existing facilities.
Sanitary Sewer:
• The sanitary sewer systems will also be disconnected from the USAG-Y system and connected to the municipal sanitary system.
Stormwater Drainage System:
• The existing drainage systems at both Annex and Housing compounds shall be retained.
• Galvanized iron bars with 100 mm spacing shall be installed where the system crosses the property line.
• The “Outside Drainage” system shown in the bridging documents shall not be used.
Electrical Power System:
• Power service will be transferred from the USAG-Y electrical system to that of the Korean Electrical Power Corporation (KEPCO).
